Yesterday was my first day working by myself. Things went great. I think that I am going to really enjoy this job. Oh, and Paul the boss pulled me aside and said that he had recieved 4 compliments on me that day. So. I feel pretty darn good about myself.

FYI
This post if for any of you who watch the TV show, Vanished. I don't think it is on TV again this week. I was looking on the DVR, and it is not on the show guide. So I got on the Vanished website, and discovered that they have posted two new episodes there, and you can watch them for free. I'm not sure if they will even air any more episodes on TV. I think me and Clark are just going to watch the rest online. You should check out the website if you want any closure on this series.

Shopping
Platos Closet is a clothing store that is in Provo, and they sell slightly used clothes. I love that store. I have bought 4 pairs of jeans there for between 10.00-18.00 each. Clark bought a nice columbia jacket there for 20.00. They have really high standards and they will only sell clothes that are practically new. If any of you are in Provo anytime, I highly suggest going there, becuase you can get a great deal on brand name clothing.
Well, to get on with my story, I looked up Platos Closet's website, and I discovered that they had a store in this shopping complex nearby called Park Meadows. Last night we decided to drive over there to see if I could get some slack type pants for work. I didn't realize how big Park Meadows is (I had only driven past a part of it), and we ended up driving all over and we never found the store. But I still really wanted to go to the store, so today after I got done with some training for my new job, we looked up the exact address and mapquested the store. We drove over to there, and come to find out, Platos Closet hasn't opened yet! It is still in the "coming soon" stages. Wouldn't you think that they would list that on their website? Oh well, we just ended up going to Ross and we found a couple of pants there.
Oh, and here is a funny connection I found at work today. The office manager, who has been training me is related to my bishop! The bishops wife is her sister! What a small world. The funny thing is that when they first started looking for a receptionist the manager asked her brother-in-law (the bishop) if he knew of anyone in the ward who wanted a job! I guess he didn't know that I will still looking. Crazy.
PS- Does anyone know if Vanished was a rerun last night? The DVR didn't record it, and I will be sad if I missed a new episode.

the power of pants
Well, I took everyone's advice and decided to wear some gray slack type pants, a polo and a sweater to the interview, and it must have worked because I got the job! I am so excited to finally be working again. I start training tomorrow, and I will start full time within the next couple of weeks. I was really worried that they wouldn't want to hire me because of all the time I want off for the holidays. But I guess they must really like me, because they are willing to work around all that time I need off. I think this will be a really great job. Oh, and did I mention that I get free massage, chiropracture, and acupuncture. And they will give Clark any of them for half price. The crazy thing is that the afternoon receptionist that I am replacing is being fired!!! I kind of feel bad, but I guess she is just doing a terrible job. I had wondered why I hadn't met her yet, or why she wasn't the one training me, but apparently they aren't going to tell her until I am completely trained. Crazy. Well, I just wanted to share the great news!

suh-weet!
Good news. I just got a call for a second interview for that receptionist job. They want me to come in tomorrow for two hours to see if I will like the job, and if it will be a good fit; and then I will meet with the boss for another interview. The other receptionist that called me said that since it is Friday, it is okay to wear jeans, however, I feel like I should still dress up nice to make a good impression. What is everyone's opinion?

Out to lunch
I went to lunch today with the wife of one of Clark's coworkers. We went to this great little pizza place called Protos. Talk about some good eats. It was pizza how it was meant to be eaten. A very thin crust, hardly any sauce, and mine had mozzarella cheese, bacon and cilantro. Very tasty. She said she has a list of all the great restaurants in the Denver area, and she will email the list to me. yum.

Things are starting to look up
It sure is a good thing that I just accidentally erased my whole post. Here we go again.
After around 25 job applications, I finally had an interview this morning. Yay! It was with a
company call Total Health Center, and they practice alternative medicine such as acupuncture, chiropractor, and massage. I would be working as their afternoon receptionist from 1-8 pm with an hour break. I really hope I get this job. They said that they would call back next week if they are interested to schedule a second interview. I think I would enjoy the atmosphere of the job, and I don't think I would mind the hours. Clark plans on working until at least 10 pm during the busy season, so I might as well be out earning money too. The pay is pretty great too, at 13/ hr. I am also contemplating getting a morning job teaching preschool gymnastics for a couple of hours. But then again I might just sleep in each day, take Izz for a nice long walk, and then stroll off to work around 12:30. I really hope I get this job. Keep your fingers crossed!

Back when I was still in Elementary School, maybe something like 4th grade, I chipped my top front tooth on the metal end of the hose. I was playing london bridge with Vanessa Arnold. Anyways. It was not a big chip, and we were able to easily get it fixed up. Last night I was eating a yummy apply jolly rancher that was left over from Halloween, and when I took it out of my mouth, part of the stuff they fixed my tooth with got pulled off. It didn't hurt, and luckily no one can actually tell that anything is wrong because it is on the inside of my mouth. It's just kind of annoying because I keep running my tongue over the jagged edges now. The good news is that we got our Health Insurance cards on Saturday, so I can schedule a dentist appointment, which I had been meaning to do anyways. Now I just have a little more motivation to do so.

Well, we had a fun weekend. Clark's parents, Richard and Linda came into town to visit. On Saturday we drove up to Fort Collins and they showed me their old house, and Clark's hike school, and we drove up to Horsetooth Resevior. I brought the digital camera, but sadly enough the batteries were dead, so I didn't get to take any pictures. I guess you will just have to use your imagination. That night we went to the BYU game, which we won. They are doing pretty good this year. Apparently Bronco was sick with the flu. After the game we found out that the tv station caught Bronco throwing up at the game. Talk about embarrassing. Throwing up is bad enough, without having it shown on tv. Click on the link below to view a slideshow from the game.

Richard and Linda left Sunday night to go back to Utah. We had lots of fun, and now the house seems really quiet. Izzy found a new friend in Richard. She loved playing with him!
Oh, also Clark and I just got new cell phones. I will send the new numbers to you all, so check your emails. Thats all for now!
