Stupid snow plow

The weather this winter has been completely crazy! Yesterday we got 4-5 inches of wet, heavy snow. It was miserable to drive in. On my way to work, I had a snow plow pull up next to me, and there was so much slush on the streets, that the plow was flipping it all up onto my car. I couldn't see a thing. It was worse than being in a car wash. I had to hit my breaks, and hope that no one was behind me or beside me, and that I was driving in a straight line, until the plow finally passed me up. It was really scary because for about 2 or 3 seconds I couldn't see a thing.

In other news, Clark found out yesterday that this Sunday he will be flying out to St. Louis for work, for the next 2 weeks. The cool thing is that since he will be gone over the weekend, his job will either pay to fly him back to Denver to see me, or they will fly me out to St. Louis. So, guess who is going on a mini vacation! I am really excited because I have never been to Missouri, and the flight and hotel will be paid for, so we will only have to pay for any fun stuff that we decide to go do (like maybe go to a baseball game, or something). Anyways, I should get going. I have lots to do in the next 2 days!

Baby update

Clark and I went to the doctor this morning for another ultrasound. They wanted to check out the kidneys, because at the last ultrasound one of them was enlarged. This ultrasound showed that the kidneys are both doing great, but they found a cyst near the left kidney. The doctor said that she has never seen this problem before, so she is sending me so see a specialist, who I will see next Wednesday. I am not too worried about this. Which is kind of strange, because you would think that I would be worried. But I just don't see the sense in worrying myself over something that might not even be a problem. Plus, I just feel like everything is okay with the little babe. I got some really cute ultrasound pics. This time they did more of the 3D kind, which is cool. I will have to see if I have time to scan them and put them on here. I am getting pretty excited about coming home and getting lots and lots of presents! :)

fan-tastic!

Clark and I have been occasionally looking for a ceiling fan to put up in the baby's room. The other day, I came across this one on craigslist, and I just couldn't resist. It perfectly matches the quilt, bumper, lamp, and all the other jungle stuff that we already have. What are the odds?

Wow! What a hole!

Clark and I had a really fun weekend. Friday, Clark's work took us to a pretty good chinese place for dinner. Saturday was a really nice day, so we spent a lot of time outside working in the yard, then we gave Izzy a bath and took her to the park to play catch. I now have some very sunburned arms and neck. But it was worth it to be able to spend so much time out in the nice weather. Saturday night we went to the NCAA gymnastics regionals, which was at Denver University. BYU ended up placing 4th out of 6 teams, so they didn't qualify for nationals. But we had lots of fun at the meet anyways. The funny thing was that when we first got there, our tickets were for section 7, but when we found section 7 it was blocked off. So we went and asked one of the ushers, and they said that they were actually going to do fireworks in that section, so we had to go and get new seats. It worked out really great though, because the seats they gave us were a lot better than the ones that we would have had.

Oh, and according to my little countdown, I officially have less than 100 days until baby is born. The time is just flying by!

Gross

I just found a dead mouse in the garage. Sick. It must have just barely died because it sure looked plump and alive to me. The only way I knew for sure that it was dead, is because it didn't move at all when Izzy tried to sniff it.

Monday, Monday...So good to me

Yesterday around 4 pm, I was just sitting there at work trying to get caught up on stuff, when Clark gave me a call. He had just gotten box tickets to the Nuggets game that night against the Lakers! We even got to do Valet parking, no walking a mile just to get the the car. No sir. They served us dinner and desseret in the box, which was totally great. It was a really fun game because it went to the last seconds. Luckily the Nuggets pulled out a win in the end. The best part of the whole night is that whenever Kobe Bryant even touched the ball, the whole place would break out in "boos." It was awesome.

oh blah dee, oh blah da

We had a fun night last night. Dad stopped by on his way back home from New Mexico. He saw our townhouse and then we went out to eat at a restaurant called "Black Eyed Pea." Its a good restaurant. It is similar to Marie Calendars, in that it focuses on providing good ol' homecooked food. Dad had to get back on the road pretty soon, but it was fun to see him, and to show him where we live. Dad, I hope your drive home wasn't too bad, and that I-80 didn't give you too many problems.
Right now I am just at work. The weekend receptionist wanted the day off, so I agreed to work. It will be really nice to get the extra hours on my next paycheck. Our office is so much slower on Saturdays, which in a way is really nice. But at the same time, the time is going by much slower because I am running out of things to do. Oh well. I would much rather be bored than busy and stressed.

Go banana!

Yesterday for lunch I decided to have a peanut butter and banana sandwich. I haven't had one of those in forever, maybe since Elementary school. It was pretty good.

Tomato juice? I thought this was milk!

At my work, the acupuncturists use heat lamps in their rooms, in order to keep their patient warm. These heat lamps emit a bright red light. If the door is left open, then it looks exactly like this scene from Seinfeld. It makes me laugh.
