our weekend so far

We had plans to go camping this weekend, but on Thursday Corbin threw up and developed a moderately high temperature. So we decided to can the camping trip. And instead on Friday we enjoyed sleeping in, and taking long naps, and watching movies. By Friday night Corbin was feeling much better, and he was pretty sad that we didn't go camping. So, to try and make it up to him, we took him to the movie store and rented a couple of movies for him. Then we stopped at McDonalds and got him a Happy Meal and ice-cream cone. That cheered him up pretty well.

On Saturday we decided to go see 7 falls in Colorado Springs. I have wanted to go there since we first moved here (almost four years ago!) It is a 181 ft waterfall, that is actually comprised of 7 connected falls (hence the name 7 falls). You can climb a bunch of stairs to get to the top, and my legs were dieing by the time we finally got to the top. The second picture below is a photo of just the top half of the staircase, to give you an idea of what we were up against. Corbin got too nervous to climb the stairs by himself, so Clark was a trooper and he carried Corbin up to the top.

Baseball

Yesterday we went to a BYU vs Airforce baseball game. We had a lot of fun relaxing in the nice, warm sun (and Clark and I have sunburns to prove it!) We sat on a grassy hill and Corbin loved being able to run around and roll down the hill. We actually ran into some friends from church, and so Corbin and their little girl played together for most of the game.

Please excuse the terrible filming. I'm not good at playing baseball, and holding a video camera.

A few funny Corbin quotes

"I need help! Call the fire hydrant!"

Clark: "Are you Daddy?"
Corbin: "No! I Co-bin!"
Clark: "Are you Mommy?"
Corbin (gets frustrated): "No! I Co-bin! I Grandma Gee's Co-bin!" (He actually says this one a lot when we tease him and ask him who he is)

And finally, for those who don't already know, Corbin is going to be a big brother! Baby #2 is due Nov. 8, and we can't wait to meet the new little one.

We were driving home from church a while ago, and it was the day after Clark told Corbin that there was a baby in Mommy's tummy.
Corbin all of a sudden says from the back seat: "Mommy, there's a turtle in your tummy?"
Staci: "No, there is a baby in my tummy"
Corbin: "Oh," then after a slight pause, "Mommy, there's a froggy in your tummy?"
Staci: "No, Corbin. Just a baby in my tummy"
