Corbin boy

Here's a list of some Corbin sayings from the last couple of months:
* "fall down football" = tackle football
* "constructions" = instructions ("read the constructions, mom")
* "When I'm a dad, I'll make all the rules. I'll make a 3 fruit snack a day rule" (because our rule of 1 fruit snack a day must be terrible for him)
* "unless of" = except for

* in his prayer he asks for "no 'Mars Needs Moms' dreams" (Corbin had trouble sleeping for a long time after we watched this movie.
* also in his prayer "bless that Dad can beat up all the bad guys"
* "I'm stirsty"
* "Freeze brain" or "Freeze cold" instead of brain freeze.

Corbin got in trouble, so I sent him to timeout on this chair, and Avery ran over to keep him company. It was so cute.

Avery at 18 months

At 18 months, Avery is still a bit of a skinny thing. She weighed in at her doctor appointment at 20 lb 15.5 oz. Avery is talking a lot more lately! New words that she says:
day do (thank you)
hi
bye-bye
snaaa (fruit snacks)
dee (drink)
sigh (outside)
dooo (shoe)
nie-nie (night-night) Avery also calls her pacifier "nie-nie" It pretty funny. She walks around the house yelling "nie-nie, nie-nie, nie-nie" when she is looking for her paci.
key (blankey, although she sometimes call her blanket "nie-nie" also)
chee (when she notices I am taking pictures she will say cheese)

Avery is kind of a picky eater. The only vegetables I can get her to eat are potates baked like fries, and corn on the cob. She loves fruit, yogurt, pasta, and sweets of any kind.

She is a little dare devil, and she loves to climb and jump off of things. In church a couple of weeks ago she stood up on the folding chairs and tried to jump over to the next chair. Crazy girl. She also will lay on her stomach and fall head first off the couch. I have to move really quick to grab her leg and slowly lower her down. Otherwise she lands right on her head. Not so awesome. Avery definitely keeps things lively!

Avery takes her blanket and paci everywhere. When we drive somewhere I will let her bring the blanket, but she has to leave it in the car when we get out. And after I take away her blanket, she always asks, "nie-nie?" Like she is asking, can I at least bring in my paci?

Daddy reading Avery her favorite story book.

Playing outside

Corbin and Avery both LOVE playing outside. Avery loves to blow bubbles, and climb on things in the yard, and Corbin's favorite activity is playing in the dirt. He is going to be so sad when I plant my flowers soon, and kick him out of the dirt. He'll just have to go back to playing in the sandbox, which is totally not as much fun as real dirt. Sorry buddy. Corbin also loves climbing on top of the air conditioner to talk to our neighbors Scott and Missy.
Climbing the back of the porch swing
Playing in the dirt, he also plays in the flower bed behind him.

I saw an idea online to put shaving cream on the slide. Corbin loved it! He thought it was so much fun!
And Avery is adorable in her ballerina swimsuit.

Corbin's last day of soccer was May 10. He is so sad that soccer is over, but he is looking forward to starting baseball in June! On the last day all the kids got a medal and a ribbon. Corbin was pretty excited about the medal. We went to Burger King after soccer, and Corbin wore his medal inside the restaurant. So cute.
