It has been a while since I have last posted. This has been a really busy week. The office manager has been on vacation for the last week and a half, and so I have been working for her in the mornings. It has been good, because I will end up getting over 20 extra hours on my paycheck for the last two weeks. However, the downside is that I don't have time for anything else, except work. It kind of makes me sound like a wuss, but after getting up at 6 a.m., and then working all day, I just come home and crash. The last two nights I have fallen asleep at 9:30. I blame it all on baby :) Today I am working an 11 hour shift. However, it is my last full day of work...in who knows how long. I am still going to work about 10 hours next week, but it is so strange to think that I have no idea when I will next be working a full time job. Totally weird. My life is definately about to change in a big way.
Good news about my little red car. We took it into a shop, and they fixed the timing belt thingy for a reasonable price. It is a BIG relief to have that taken care of.
Lets see, in other news, baby and I are doing well. I have gained 3 pounds in the last week! No wonder I feel so big and clumsy lately :)
I guess that is about all for now. Smell ya later.

you must be over the moon
A patient came into work the other day, and told me about this guy. His name is Paul Potts, and he was on (and eventually won) the TV show, "Britains got Talent." He has a pretty darn amazing voice. The best part is watching the expression of the judges, while he sings. I think Mom exspecially will enjoy it.

A new day
Clark and I are feeling much better about life today. Thank you all, for your love, and your kind words. We called a car shop last night, and they quoted us $300 to fix the car (granted, this is just an estimate, seeing as they haven't even looked at the car yet). But we really liked the guy we talked to at the shop, and we are feeling optimistic that things will work out okay for us.

When it rains, it pours
First the water heater goes out. Then we have insurance problems. Now the little red car won't start. Why do I feel like we are being punished for something?

How rude!
Someone stole our newspaper! It was on our driveway when we left for church, and when we got back it was gone. What kind of person just decides to take a newspaper off of someone's driveway? And I was so excited to go through all the coupons...

insurance, eh?
Well, I think we figured out what was going on with the insurance. But the sad news is that we owe them money. Craptastic. I've decided that I want to move to Canada.

Stupid insurance is giving us problems again. Clark is on the phone trying to get it all figured out.

I love Harry
I just pre-ordered the last Harry Potter book from Amazon. I am so excited to read it! I'm just sad that I will be missing out on the midnight release party. I have gone to the last three, so it is really sad that I will miss out on the last one ever. Oh well. What can you do? At least I will still get to read the book. And if I still haven't had the baby by then, then it will definately be a good way to pass the time.

Brain malfunction
Yesterday morning Clark and I sat down to eat breakfast. I took one bite of cereal, and then I turned to Clark and said, "Oh, wait! We still need to say a prayer." Clark just looked at me and said, "We prayed 5 seconds ago." Sad.

eyes wide shut
Things are going pretty well, over here in the mile-high state. We went to the high-risk OB/GYN yesterday to check out the baby's kidneys, and they are looking good. The left one is still dialated, but it has not gotten any larger. In fact it has gone down just a tiny bit, which is great news. And we don't have to go back to this doctor again, unless some other big problem arises (which won't). It was fun to get another ultrasound. The only bad thing, is that the baby is getting bigger, and so it is hard to get a good look at the baby. All you get is little snip-its. They estimate that he is about 4 lbs. 15 oz (give or take 12 oz), and his size is in either the 52 or 54 precentile. (I can't remember which). So his growth is right on schedule. The coolest thing about the ultrasound, was that we were able to see the baby blinking his eyes and moving his mouth. It was amazing to see his little eyes blinking!

Now, this is just crazy
"The most prolific mother in history was a Russian peasant who had 69 children in the 18th century, 67 of which survived infancy. Between 1725 and 1765, she endured 27 multiple births, which included 16 pairs of twins, seven sets of triplets, and four sets of quadruplets."
How do you like them apples? You have to just feel sorry for the poor woman.

News
We ended up buying a new water heater last week. Luckily I have a handy-dandy husband, and Clark installed the whole thing, which ended up saving us about $800. Our new water heater has a 6 year warrenty, so we shouldn't have any more problems with it.
Also, last night we decided it was about time that we finally figure out how to set up the crib, so we did that, and then we kind of figured out how we are going to arrange the baby's room, in order to make everthing fit. It is not a very big room at all. It is a little smaller than the yellow room we had at the old house, to give you an idea. When visitors come, the blowup mattress takes up nearly the whole room. :) We are still looking for a dresser, and I was looking at a website last night and came across this cool room designer. It basically lets you enter in the dimensions of everything in the room, and then you can try different layouts to decide which one you like the best. It's a pretty fun website (and it is much easier than continually pushing furniture back and forth to decide where to put it).
