Hosanna!!

Last Sunday the primary (the kids under 12 yrs) sang in church. Clark and I were sitting in the overflow, about 100 feet away from Corbin. And from our seats, we could clearly hear Corbin singing "Hosanna!" It was pretty awesome. I asked him to sing the song for me today. Here's the video.

Ward Christmas Party

Last night was our church Christmas party. The theme was a Whoville Christmas. The church was super decorated. We hung some really neat 3D snowflakes in the halls, I wish I had taken a picture, because they looked really pretty. Corbin was so excited for the party. He made sure to wear his Grinch shirt. We got to see the Grinch, see Santa, visit the Whoville hair salon, make a craft, and more!

Santa!

Santa came to the Parker library today! Corbin brought his letter, and gave it to Santa. Corbin asked for a Shark Ship toy, and the Toy Story 3 Landfill.

Avery wasn't scared of Santa. She was just mad because she wanted to be put down, so she could run around and explore the room. And, how cute is Corbin's face is in this picture!! He was so happy to see Santa.

Corbin and Avery butt heads a lot. They constantly fight over toys. So, I thought it was completely adorable that Corbin, all on his own, took Avery's hand and walked her over to see the blow-up penguin.

Gingerbread cookies

Saturday, we made gingerbread cookies. I have great memories of making giant gingerbread men when I was a kid, so I thought it would be a fun thing for us to do this year. Corbin was super excited to decorate the cookies, which kind of surprised me. I thought it would be me decorating all the cookies, while Corbin ate all the candy. But, Corbin spent quite a bit of time getting his gingerbread man just right. Decorating cookies was all he talked about during the day. It was definitely worth the big mess it made in my kitchen.

Visitors!

Just this last weekend, Clark's parents came to visit us. We love having family come to visit. We had lots of fun. We went to Garden of the Gods, took a few family pictures, Grandma and Grandpa took Corbin out on a date to Build-a-Bear, we visited Hammond's Candy Factory, went out to eat, and in general just had a grand ole time.

Primary program

Yesterday was our ward's primary program. Corbin was sooo excited for it. All day long, he was asking me when the primary program would start. Corbin did an awesome job saying his part! I was so proud of him!

cowboy and cowboy-girl

The other day we discovered that Avery really likes riding the rocking horse. Watching Avery ride the horse, made Corbin want to play cowboy. He put on a pair of my boots, and used Izzy leash for his rope. And he called me and Avery "cowboy-girls"
