Basketball John

I got Corbin this cute basketball onesie. So, of course I had to take lots of pictures. Unfortunately, I can't add this song to my slideshow. You'll just have to pretend it's playing while you watch the show.

I can't believe this

I was waiting at a red light today, so I was looking around at the other cars to kill the time. Well. One of the cars that was a few lanes over had a baby in the front seat! The baby was rearfacing (I guess you gotta give them credit there), but that is so dangerous! I really can't believe it. And the back seat in the car was completely empty. I hope a cop pulls her over, and gives her a BIG FAT TICKET!

This picture has nothing to do with the post,
but it sure is cute!

Another beautiful day

Don't you just love his cute little hat? I just got it on Saturday, a lady was selling a whole bunch of baby clothes on craigslist, and I got a white garbage bag stuffed full of clothes for $28. They are all in really good shape, too. Corbin is pretty set on clothes until next fall/winter.

My little string bean

Corbin is 7 months old today. I can hardly believe it! I took him to the doctor today (great b-day present, huh?) Here are the latest stats:
Height: 28.25 inches 85%
Weight: 16 lb 10%
I am actually pretty surprised that his stats aren't higher. Corbin has been eating like crazy lately. I was worried that I would find out that Corbin had outgrown his carseat, but he still has about another 1/2 inch to go. So we will probably wait until next month sometime to get him a new carseat.

Awesome!

So, Corbin was just barely chasing Izzy across the room. I guess Izzy was getting sick of continually moving away from Corbin, so she finally just went and hid in her crate! How awesome is that.

He's in the army now...

Isn't he a cutie? Corbin is getting better each day at moving around. As you can see in the video, he loves "chasing down" Izzy. He also loves going after her yucky rubber ball. Yesterday I found Corbin with the ball in his mouth!!! Yuck! Yuck! Yuck! I had to hide it in the closet after that.

Today has been a georgous day! It was 59 degrees out and so Corbin and I took Izzy on a really long walk. The sun was shining, there was a nice breeze, and we all had lots of fun. The funny thing is that it is supposed to snow tomorrow and Friday.

So this totally creeps me out. These rock formations thingys are set up right off the walking path. What the heck are the for? And who uses them? They were just put up some time last summer. You can't really tell, but the 2nd picture is kind of set up as a little ampitheater. The top rock by Izzy's head is looks like some sort of pulpit, and then the other rocks are all set up in rows. Like I said. Creepy. I felt really weird by them, but I had to set my camera up on the rocks to take that picture with me in it, since I didn't have a tripod with me. Any guesses as to who made these, and what they are for? I think it will be fun to hear your ideas! My vote is aliens.

Alright, here is a picture with me in it. It's not the best, I had to use the timer function to take it.
What is that thing on my head?

All tired out, at the end of our long walk

I gotta tell you, I am pretty proud of these last 2 pictures.

Sunbeams

Well, Clark left yesterday for Ohio. The good news is that instead of being gone until Saturday, they told him that he can come home on Wednesday night! Yay! Church was definiately difficult yesterday without Clark. He usually takes Corbin the last 2 hours of church, since I am with the Sunbeams. So I asked my V.T. to take Corbin, and as soon as I handed him to her, he started crying. Five minutes later I can hear him screaming out in the halls, so I took him back, and he stopped crying as soon as he got in my arms (apparently separation anxiety has set in). I ended up holding Corbin all during Primary. Luckily, it was the other teacher's turn to teach, and only one of our two terrible kids were there. Yesterday was very tiring, and it made me really appreciate all the other Sundays that Clark is able to watch Corbin.

Sleep!

*Corbin has finally started sleeping through the night! It is amazing! He goes to bed around 7 p.m. and he wakes up around 7 or 7:30 a.m. It is not every night yet, but I would say it is about 75% of the time. I am actually really surprised that he is sleeping so well at night because...

*Corbin's 2nd tooth just broke through the surface yesterday! So now he has 2 teeth on the bottom. I must say he handles teething REALLY well. His naps have been all over the place, but he wasn't overly fussy, and (as previously stated) he has been sleeping great at night.

* Right now Clark is at our neighbor's house, helping install a new water heater (what a nice guy!) They must have put crappy water heaters in these units because ours went out, now hers has, and we have seen a water heater hanging out in the garage of our neighbors on the other side.

*Apparently Corbin really likes sleeping with his blanket. I put him down for his morning nap, and because he was still in his pj's I decided not to wrap him in his blanket because I thought he would be hot. Well. I was wrong. Check out the pictures (I had to re-create the "before" shots, but you get the general idea).

Somehow, Corbin pulled down his blanket, and not only laid it on top of him, but wrapped it all the way around him (which is how we put him to bed at night...he loves to be swaddled with his arms left out). I still don't know how he did it! In that future, I'll have to be more careful of where I put blankets.
