Coupon hint

When paired up with coupons, buy one get one free sales are the best way to get a good deal on a item. There are two different ways to save big, depending on the type of coupon you have. The best is to use a BOGOF (buy one get one free) coupon, because then you get the two items for free! For example. This week Rite Aid has Speed Stick on sale BOGOF, and I had a BOGOF coupon, so I was able to get 2 sticks of deodorant for free!

Another thing you can do with a BOGOF sale is use two coupons (even those one of the coupons is for the free item). For example, Speed Stick is usually $4 a stick, and a BOGOF sale would make it $2 per stick. Well, lets say that we had 2 $1 coupons for deodorant. We can use both coupons, which would then make it $1 stick. Not too shabby.

Now, just be warned that each store you go to has a different coupon policy, but I have never had a problem doing this. Happy savings!

Now is the time

...to buy clothes!

Old Navy is having a nation-wide sale, 50% off all their clearance items! I got Corbin a bunch of shirts, a winter coat (for next year), shorts, and a hat and mittens. I also got Clarky a little something for his b-day. I paid $29.32, for clothes that would normally cost a total of $123.50. The sale only runs today-Monday. But I would go sooner than later, people had carts full of stuff.

What's new pussycat?

San Diego pics from last month
At the beach
What a beautiful temple!!!

Corbin is sleeping right now, and so I should really be cleaning the house. But instead I am just playing around online. Here's what's new in Englewood:

* I am feeling much better today

* Corbin slept 9 hours straight last night before he woke to eat, 8:30-5:30. Then he woke at 6:30 and 7:30. But it is one small step to sleeping through the night...one day...hopefully...I can only dream...

* I was called to be a Sunbeam teacher. I am REALLY excited about this. About 1/2 of my class was in my nursery class 6 months ago (and what's more, it's the 1/2 that I liked the best!) Our ward has 2 sunbeam classes, totaling 18 kids, 9 in each class.

* Clark is entering busy season. Ick.

* A girl, who is a year ahead of Clark at his work, is a jerk and she just quit. Which means that they have early promoted Clark to take over all her work. Sounds like a good opportunity, right? Not so much. Instead he is going to have an even crazier busy season, and he doesn't get any kind of extra bonus or raise for all of this extra work. We can only hope that he will be rewarded this September when he gets his yearly raise.

* I just finished making a photo calendar for Clark's dad. It has been a really fun project.

* I would definitely recommend signing up with shutterfly.com. In the last 6 months they have emailed me 2 offers for a free photo calendar. I only had to pay s&h. They make great gifts!

* I love photography.

* If anyone wants any gift ideas (you know, to give to me because I am so cool, and stuff) I need a new black belt, a calendar that fits my little calendar holder 13.5" X 25", and I would love a bunch of fabric that would work to make photography backdrops (black, or white, or some kind of brownish/tanish, preferably a fabric that doesn't wrinkle easily) any of these would be great!

* And if you don't think I am very cool, and just want to give me a card, or a kick in the pants...well, I guess that would work too. :)
* Oh yeah, I almost forgot...wii bought a wii! We decided not to get each other b-day presents, and we bought a wii instead.

Christmas in January

I just got back from Walgreens, and I made out like a bandit! All their Christmas stuff is marked down to 10 cents/item. I got approximately $65 worth of stuff for...dum da da dum...$2.60. I am so cool.

Get to work!

Ha ha! My brother sent this to me, isn't it awesome?! The writing says:

"After the birth of a child there's always the temptation to say, 'Yes, it's cute, but what can it do?' Until recently the answer was simply 'lie there and cry,' but now babies can be put on the payroll, so to speak, almost as soon as they are born. Just dress your young one in Baby Mops and set him or her down on any hardwood or tile floor that needs cleaning. You may at first need to get things started by calling to the infant from across the room, but pretty soon they'll be doing it all by themselves. There's no child exploitation involved. The kid is doing what he does best anyway, crawling. But with Baby Mops he's also learning responsibility and a healthy work ethic."

Chomp

Corbin's first tooth is starting to come in! It makes him seem so much older! He has been fussy for the last 24 hours, but I think the worst is over. The cutest thing, is that occasionally I will see him run his tongue over his new tooth. It's like he is thinking, "what in the world is this pokey thing doing in my mouth?"

Also, we starting feeding Corbin rice cereal, and he LOVES it!! I finish feeding him, and he starts fussing for more! I really like the fact that I can start mixing his medicine in with the cereal. Makes life just a little easier for everyone. Here are some pics from his first experience with cereal. I can't believe how clean he stayed. He has actually gotten a little messier, but he really isn't too bad at it.

fake

My sister-in-law sent this video to me and Clark, and I thought it was really interesting. It's sad how many girls and women try to look like all these supermodels that don't even exist.
