music to my ears

We found a kazoo while we were unpacking our Christmas decorations. Corbin has had so much fun playing with it!

snow much fun

Today Corbin played in the snow for the first time. While he was walking around the yard, he fell onto his hands. His mittens got covered in snow, and he kept trying to wipe the snow off on his jacket. It was pretty funny. After that Corbin fell on his bum, and at first he really did not like sitting in the snow. But after a few minutes Corbin figured out that it was kind of fun to shovel the snow with his hands and then dump it over his legs.

more words

Corbin can now say:
duck: stuck
dow: down
guy-eh: quiet (Corbin repeats it after I say "quiet" to Izzy when she barks. He usually follows it up by running over to Izzy and saying "no! no!")
low: hello (Corbin likes to hold his phone to his shoulder, and he says "low? low?" and then he talks a bunch of gibberish, followed by a really loud fake laugh. It's sooo funny! And then he will say "bye-bye" and close the phone)
dane do: thank you (He has been saying this one for a while, I forgot to put it in the last word post.)
I low lu: I love you
gonk: bonk (he says this one when he falls down or bumps into something)

The week thus far...

I got my Christmas present in the mail on Tuesday. A point and shoot digital camera. I haven't had much time to play around with it, but so far I am really happy with it. I still need to buy a new lens for my nice SLR camera, but I really wanted a small camera that would be easy to tote around.

Corbin has been sick again. Poor kiddo. I think the worst is over though.
A friend of mine invited me to join a craft exchange where we each choose a holiday, then make 8 identical crafts to exchange. I decided to do the 4th of July. I got the idea for the star from Nichole's blog.
And last, but not least, I found these drawings inside my scriptures the other day, and I decided to take some pictures of them with my new fancy schmancy camera. I thought they were pretty funny.

Our holiday weekend!

We have had a really fun Thanksgiving weekend. I am sad that it has gone by so quickly! On Wednesday our friends the Farnwsorths (thanks again, you guys!) babysat Corbin so that we could go to the temple. When we got home that afternoon, I was cleaning up in the front room, and I could hear Corbin playing with the door to Izzy's crate. That's nothing new, he likes to open and shut the door. When I went into the kitchen to check on him, I saw that Corbin discovered a new play area!

It totally grossed me out to see Corbin in the dog crate, but I couldn't take him out when it made him so happy.

On Thanksgiving we had just planned to hang out at home and eat a nice dinner. Well, at about 9 a.m. a family from our ward called to invite us over for Thanksgiving dinner. We were so surprised, and were very happy to accept the offer.

On Friday we drove up to Estes park in the afternoon. We met up with our friends Peter and Jennifer and their son Dakota. It was pretty cold, so we got some hot chocolate and then watched their lighted Christmas parade.

Saturday, we brought up all the Christmas boxes from the crawl space. I also cooked my first turkey. I am really proud of how great it turned out.

Corbin loved going through all the Christmas boxes with us. I am happy to say that so far he hasn't tried to pull the tree down. We'll see how well he does once we get the ornaments on the tree. Corbin helped me put up a window-cling nativity that I bought last year. This is how it turned out. He likes to stack all the pieces on top of one another. When I separate them, he places them right back on top of each other. Funny guy.

Corbin found an mp3 player, and so Clark turned it on and helped Corbin put on the headphones.

question for parents

Do you get flu shots for your child/children? I can't decide if I should have Corbin get one...

way go?

I have been trying to record Corbin saying, "way go?" for at least a week now. He says it ALL the time, but as soon as I pick up the video camera all he wants to do is come play with the camera. So I am pretty proud that I got this on tape.

wii

It's been a while since my last post. Not too much is going on around here. Corbin and Clark are have both had colds this week. We have tickets to the BYU vs Airforce football game, but I think I will have to give away my ticket and stay home with Corbin. I don't feel right about dragging him to a football game when he is under the weather.

Here are some fun pictures of Corbin playing wii. He loves to walk around with the nun chuck around his neck. It's so funny.

Check out the curls. Clark doesn't like them, but I think they're cute.
I can't remember what had him so upset, but isn't the hand to the forehead funny?

Weekend adventures

Clark's parents came into town for the weekend, and we crammed in a whole bunch of fun. On Friday (Halloween) we drove up to Estes Park where we ate some really great burgers and roamed around the shops.

This bear was inside one of the shops. Corbin loved it. When he saw it he said, "Doggie!"
We bought Corbin these cool Thomas the train sunglasses. He thought he was so styling, and he didn't even try to pull them off. He's a funny little dude.
After fighting traffic, we made it home around 6 p.m. from Estes, so we hurried and put Corbin in his Halloween costume so we could take him out trick-or-treating. He was definitely the cutest Tigger in town.

On Saturday we drove up to Fort Collins for the BYU vs CSU game. Corbin was amazingly good during the game, especially considering that fact that he only took about a 20 minute nap that day. Corbin thought Cosmo was pretty cool, but his favorite part of the game was the band's half-time show. He couldn't take his eyes off the field.
