Well, I don't know about you guys, but I'm pretty sick of looking at that dog hair scarf. time for an update.
Life has been pretty busy lately. We arrived in Utah last Saturday. Corbin did pretty well traveling. We woke him up at 4 a.m. to head to the airport. I was sure he would fall back asleep during the 45 minute drive there. But he didn't fall asleep until Clark's parents picked us up from the Salt Lake airport at 8:45. From there we went straight to American Fork to get fambly pictures taken. After that we went to Clark's parents cabin. We stayed overnight there, and we had a really fun time. Corbin went on his first 4 wheeler ride, and we saw a doe and her fawn. They were only 5 or 6 feet away from us. Even though Corbin doesn't turn one until next month, we also celebrated his birthday. He love the presents he got from Grandpa and Grandma G. He especially loves his new car.

It's been a while since I last posted. Thanks for the lesson ideas, the kids had a really great time. Not too much has been going on here lately. Last Wednesday night Corbin woke up with a 102 fever, but by morning it was down to 100. He has been pretty fussy and clingy. We thought he was starting to get over his little cold, but last night he had big time diarrhea, which led to a midnight bath, and new sheets in his crib. He is starting to get a little cough as well. Goodness.
On a happier note, Clark and I got a stackable washer and dryer! (We actually got it about 2 months ago for free on craigslist, but it has been sitting in our garage up until 2 weeks ago). We weren't sure if the unit would even work, but we hooked it up, and it works better than our old washer and dryer! The washer is much, much quieter. I am so glad that we decided to pick it up. We almost didn't get it because it was soooo dirty. Seriously. It took about 40 minutes of elbow grease to clean the thing. It is a Kenmore unit, and I think the people could have sold it for at least 300 bucks, had they taken the time to clean it up. With the stackable unit, we now have tons more storage space. We bought some wire shelves from Lowes, and once we get them all installed I will post some pictures on here.

great news!
We just booked our flights to come to Utah. You read that right...we're flying!!! Izzy is going to stay at home, and our amazingly nice neighbor is going to come and let her out a few times a day. I am sooo excited that we don't have to worry about an 8 hour drive with a baby and a dog in the car. This will be a wonderful vacation!

I love my crockpot
We had Indian chicken for dinner tonight (in the crockpot, of course. It has gotten to the point that Clark and I make dinner in the crockpot every Sunday. I love it.) It was really tasty. I haven't had Indian food for a long time, and this really hit the spot.

Mesa Verde
DAY 1
We arrived in Mesa Verde at about 2:30 p.m. It was a beautiful drive, and we ended up driving through rain, hail, and snow! Corbin had a bit of a rough time in the car. He was very antsy. We finally stopped at Payless Shoes to let him crawl around the carpeted floors. Clark's parents' truck was having some difficulties, but after changing their air and fuel filters it was running like a champ. They, along with Clark's sister and her family, made it into Mesa Verde around 6 p.m. While we were waiting for them to get there (we were staying in their trailer), we drove up to the visitors center and then we went to dinner.
DAY 3
We spent 11 hours today at Mesa Verde. I was amazed at how well Corbin and his cousin Kaycee handled it! They were great little hikers. We went to 4 different ruins. I was really surprised at how far they were spaced from each other . The first two were about a 40 minute drive away from the second two. That would be a really long walk. I guess I just assumed that they would all be right next to each other. The day started out pretty cold. I was really glad that I had brought both a jacket and a blanket for Corbin. However, as the day wore on, it warmed to a perfect hiking temperature. Oh, and that night when we got home, Clark was holding Corbin and the little dude decided to poop out of his diaper and all over Clark. It was so funny (although I'm sure I wouldn't have been laughing had it happened to me!)

This looks like a hut that my brothers and I built back in Riverton.
Here Clark is going down into a kiva (underground dwelling), this was the only one in the park that people were allowed to climb into.
All tired out
DAY 4
Welcome home! Corbin was great on the way home! He slept for about 3 of the 8 hour trip (7 driving and 1 eating/let Corbin crawl around). Corbin was so happy to be home. He was crawling as fast as he could around the family room and kitchen. It was so cute.

These boots were made for walkin'
Our video camera decided to fix itself! For the last month or so, whenever I would turn it on, it would say that there was an error and ask if I wanted to repair it. It didn't matter if I said yes or no, the video camera would try to delete everything on the disc. Well, today I decided to give it another shot, and when I said to repair the error, it actually repaired it! I am so glad that we have a video camera once again! And I am so glad that I didn't lose any of the videos we have on the camera. I have already downloaded all of them onto the computer, so I won't worry anymore about the possibility of losing them. Anyways. Here is a fun video of Corbin walking with his push toy. I think this is probably the farthest he has walked with it. He has quite the death grip (I like to think he gets it from me). If I pick Corbin up after he finishes walking, then he holds tight to the handle and lifts the toy up with him.
