Clark took part one of four of the CPA exam yesterday. What a beastly test. I am glad he is done with that section, it is by far the longest of the four. The study book alone is at least 600 pages. The other sections should be much easier and faster to study for than this one. The nice thing is that because he took the test, he didn't have to go in to work, so he got home at 2 pm! We went out and got our colorado licenses, and we got colorado plates for the trailblazer. Did you know that Colorado has about a million different plates to choose from (you just have to pay extra for the special ones). Surprisingly enough, lots of people choose the special plates. Its kind of funny. Cheapskates that we are, Clark and I just got the "free" plate (if paying 300 for registration can be condsidered free).
After that we took Izz on a walk. We ran into a lady walking her boxer, and she showed us a part on the trail that takes you to a little creek that is about 1 ft deep. Izzy and the other dog played and played and played! They were both completely muddy but they had so much fun! I think Izzy misses all her playmates in Utah.
I need to get going. There is something wrong with our garage door. It likes to beep really loud. Drives me crazy. I don't know if it means that batteries somewhere are getting low, but it usually stops beeping if I open and close the door. I have no idea why. I need to look and see if the previous owner left the user guide anywhere. I'm off.

Goin' for a walk
As you can see, all the snow has melted, and the weather is wonderful. This is the walking path behind our house.

Pull up a chair! This chair kind of freaks me out. It is on a dirt path that is just off the paved walkway. You can't really see it, but there is a child's shoe on the ground below the chair. I kept expecting some hobo man and his shoeless child to jump out and scare me.

I really like the way this picture above turned out.

Sit! Stay!

I have just been playing around on photoshop. What do you think? I think that I like the last one best. Although, the middle one is pretty cool too. I put it as my desktop background because it looked better than the blue one at a full screen size.

The Greatest Show on Earth

Last night Clark and I went to the Barnum and Bailey Circus of your Dreams! We had so much fun. It has been a long time since either one of us had been to the circus. There were horses and elephants, and crazy cool acrobats. I really liked the acrobats, but I don't know if I can call them my favorite act, because I loved all of the acts. There was even a strong man! He was so manly strong that he had a Jeep drive over his stomach, and he also took a cannon ball to the gut (Granted he had this steel thingy covering his stomach, but that is still a lot of force. He didn't even fall over when the cannon ball hit him). I am still trying to figure out just how real all of that was.

In other news, for our latest home-improvement project Clark and I went to Home Depot on Friday and bought some new blinds. The blinds that came with the house were the accordion style that you have to raise in order to see out the window. They were not in the best of shape. One of them had a huge coffee stain on it, and another one was falling out of the window. We replaced them with white faux wood blinds. Like all projects it took us longer than planned, but once we figured it out with the first window we sailed through the other three.

I am still job hunting. I think I have realized that I am being overly picky in my job choice, and it is because my income is no longer necessary in order to pay the bills. Instead, working is something that I want to do to fill my time, which means that I want to find a job that I enjoy. The school library job that I applied for never got back to me, and I have no phone number to contact them at, so I just assume that I did not get the job.
Yesterday I applied for two jobs. One is as a receptionist, this is about all I know about the job because I applied online and they did not supply much information. The other job I applied for is called a Aerial Photographer. From what I understand, I would be flying around and taking pictures from the plane using a really powerful camera. I have no idea what the hours are, or how much flying I would be doing. So I applied for the job and if they get back to me I will be able to ask them some of my questions and find out if it is a job I would enjoy, but doesn't it sound like and awesome job? I think it does.

Anyways, this post is much longer than I anticipated, so I will get going. Have a nice day!

TOWNHOME PICTURES: PART TWO

Here is the downstairs of my house, the fambly room and the kitchen. Enjoy!

I know it has taken me a while, but here is the first installment of pictures of our townhouse. It is all of the second floor: master bedroom and bath, and the 2nd bedroom and 2nd bath. As you will see, we haven't yet hung any pictures upstairs, but I have planned out where I want most of them to go. Oh, and just to warn you, the pictures aren't very good. It was difficult to try and get a picture of the whole room. I guess if you want to see how the place really looks, you will just have to make a trip out to see us!

Note the dresser on the right. Clark and I refinished it before we moved here. I am pretty darn proud of it.

awwww....what a cute dog....

This is the 20 dollar bookcase that we just bought. Not too shabby.

Today was a good day. We went to a BBQ with all the BYU people from Clark's work. It was nice to be able to meet some more people. I made my famous frozen cheesecake thingy. Also, I would just like to reiterate again how much i love craigslist. Today we found a bookcase on it that matches our coffee table and end table, and we got it for $20.00. I looked online at Target, and they are selling it for $99.95. I love a good deal. I will post a picture of it later. I think we are going to watch a movie now. See ya.

BEFORE

AFTER

Last night Clark and I went to Lowes and bought this pretty chandelier, and switched it out for the older one. The project took us a littler longer than we had planned, but everything turned out great. And now we have a much prettier light in our kitchen/dining area.

I love Comcast on Demand. Who needs a movie store, when they can just watch movies at home for free whenever they want to? The other day Clark and I watched the movie, "The Brothers Grim" (actually, I was the only one who watched it, Clark slept the whole time). I had never seen it before, and I thought it was pretty good. It was very different then I thought it would be. The best part of the movie is seeing all the different references to fairy tales that are hidden in the story line. The main jist of the story is that the two Grim brothers go around saving towns from monsters and such, when in reality it is all a scam and they create the monster, and then they "save" the town from the fake monster. Eventually they get caught in their scam, and they are sent to a town with a real monster. As they work to figure out what is going on, they realize that they are living in an unfolding fairy tale, and they have to help determine what the ending of the tale will be. I thought the movie was fun, but I'm not sure I liked it enough to buy it.

On an entirely different note, one of our new friends here in Colorado told us about a website called www.craigslist.org it is basically like amazon or ebay, except it is all local, and so you don't have to pay shipping, and you can just go and pick up the item that is being sold. Anyways, so we decided to check it out, and we found a free weedwacker on it, so we drove to the place and picked it up! Now we can work on chopping down the 3 foot tall weeds in our backyard (you think I am kidding, but I am not). The weeds are disgustingly tall. When we first moved here, Izzy didn't even want to walk on them. She would walk on the small gravel border that goes around our yard rather than venture into the jungle.
