We went to the DU vs. BYU gymanstics meet last night. It was nice to be able to spend some time during the week with Clark, especially for Corbin. He loves spending time with his Daddy. We met up with our friends Ryan and Kristen, and their cute girls, and had lots of fun cheering on BYU. Denver won the meet, which wasn't a big surprise. They have a really great team, and BYU has had lots of injuries this year.

Corbin had lots of fun at the meet. Every time the crowd would cheer he would clap and say, "yay!" He was also obsessed with going up and down the stadium stairs. Clark was a really good sport to chase after him, while I was busy watching the meet.

On Sunday, we put Corbin down for a nap. We could hear him playing, and then there was a crash, followed by Corbin crying. I went up there, and he had somehow fallen down in his crib and bit his bottom lip. Poor kid. There was tons of blood.

And here he is later that night. A happy little boy again, helping clean the dishes.

Relaxing on a Sunday afternoon

Bubbles! Corbin's favorite thing! Coloring the fence with chalk. It was fun to see him really get into coloring everything in the yard.

But what's it mean?

Corbin talks all the time. Most of it is gibberish, but it is starting to make more sense. He is also starting to string a couple of words together, which is really fun to hear. Things like "bye bye ishey" (Izzy) "dank you mama/daddy"

Here are a few of Corbin's favorite words:

*mummy = bunny. When we go on walks around the neighborhood Corbin says mummy over and over again, looking for all the many, many rabbits. It took me a while to figure out what he was saying. Corbin will even bend over and look under cars, to see if the rabbits are hiding there. It's pretty funny.
*geegee = blankie (prounced like the last name)
*sassy = paci (pacifier) We have successfully limited pacifier time to sleeping, and to church to keep him quiet :)
*nah = snack. He says this one alot. Not because he is hungry, but because he wants candy.
*bubbo = bubbles. Corbin says this one a million times a day (at least that's how it feels sometimes, talk about a one track mind!)
*sar = car. He will also say vroom, vroom, beep, beep!
*wah wah? = word world = his favorite t.v. show. He uses this word anytime he wants to watch a cartoon
*momo = cosmo (the BYU mascot) and = Elmo

Outside fun

We gave Izzy a bath the other day, and Corbin was kind enough to "help" with the hose. He had tons of fun playing with it, but he ended up completely drenched. Here he is in outfit number two, and he is wanting me to turn on the water again.

Behind our townhome is a trail, and Corbin likes to see the dogs that are out for a walk.

box fun

You gotta love the entertainment value of an empty cardboard box.

imagine me and you

I love seeing Corbin starting to use his imagination. Lately, he has been pretending to eat food off of his books. I think it is pretty funny.

Last week...

I took Corbin in for his 18 month checkup. Here are his stats:

Height: 32 1/2 inches 50%
Weight: 21 lbs. 13 oz 8%
Head: 18 1/4 inches 20%
So, his height is starting to slow down, but he is still a skinny little string bean! :)

Also, last week the weather here was beautiful! It was in the 60's most of the week. We spent lots of time playing in the backyard, going to the park, and washing the dog. The weather is definately one on the things we really love about living in Colorado.

And we ended the week with a really great weekend! Clark got off work at 6 pm on Friday, so we went out to eat at Costa Vida. Saturday, Clark only had to work from home for half the day. We had some friends over (Clark set up his friend Nick with a girl he works with) and ate pizza and played wii bowling.

It was really great to spend some time with Clark. Corbin really misses his daddy. A couple of days last week, after Corbin would wake from his nap, he would run into our room saying "Daddy, daddy, daddy!" And when he didn't find him in the room, he would go into the bathroom to check if Clark was in the shower.

I snapped these photos on Sunday afternoon. Clark was taking a nap on the love sac, and Corbin decided that he had to wake Clark up, so that they could look at a book together.

home again

Corbin and I made it back home Saturday. We spent two fun filled weeks in Utah, while Clark was slaving away at work, here in Colorado. I can't believe that it is already February. Only 2 more months left of Clark's busy season.

This picture was taken Jan. 18, the day we left for Utah. It was Corbin's first day of nursery! He does great in nursery!

While in Utah, we went to Jungle Jim's Playground with Grandma B., Kyle and Cortney. Corbin's favorite ride was the Merry-go-round.

Some of the many tickets we earned. Corbin was more interested in pulling the tickets out of the slot, than playing the games.

Corbin helped Grandma bake a pie.

Corbin had lots of fun playing with the dogs, Tom and Teeka. This video gives you a glimpse of the game Corbin played with Teeka. Unfortunately, it's not the best video, I accidentally deleted the better video from my camera.
