Turkey trot

Today was the 2nd grader's turkey trot. Corbin has been looking forward to his since 1st grade! The 2nd graders make turkey noise makers and then they parade around the school.

Elsa did it!

Today we woke up to the first snow of the year. Avery looked outside and yelled, "it snowed! Elsa did it!!!"

October happenings

The motor-boat cry from about a month ago will occasionally reappear.

Tyson learned how to hold his bottle this month. He is growing too fast!

We went to dinner with Grandma at One Man Band while the menfolk were at Priesthood session. The kids were crazy excited for these huge root beer floats.

Tyson's face after trying some ice-cream. Too cold!

Happy baby loves the swings.
He also enjoys tasting the swings. Love this picture, it makes me smile.

Tyson has also developed a love for windows and blinds. Especially if Dad, Corbin, or Avery are outside.

Corbin played flag football for the Cowboys. His team did great. They only lost 1 game, and Corbin scored 4 or 5 touchdown, and he pulled lots of flags!

Playing together in the dirt.

Started eating goldfish crackers this month.

Avery built this. When I complimented her on it, she said, "Thanks! I'm a gooder builder that Twabis!" (Uncle Travis) Which was kind of funny and random because we haven't seen him in a while.

Avery LOVES the Elsa cape that I made for her birthday party. She was very insistent that it had to be long enough to drag on the ground just like Elsa's does.

"Get it off of me!!"  Tyson isn't a big fan of the bib. (Perhaps because I have been too lazy to dig through my bins to find the boy bibs, so most of the ones he has to wear are Avery's old girly pink ones...)

Pumpkin carving

Avery made a princess pumpkin. Corbin did the Y. Tyson tried to eat pumpkin guts off the floor and then went to bed.

A frozen celebration!

Avery was soooo excited for her birthday party! We started it out by playing with "snow dough."

All the boys got a Marshmallow (the ice monster) shirt. The girls all got homemade Elsa capes.

Grandma came and helped out with the party. Avery let her wear a gold crown. Which is a pretty good compliment to Grandma, because gold is Avery's new favorite color.

Freeze dancing was a huge hit with all the kids. They loved it! We played clips from the movie, and the kids were supposed to freeze like Elsa when the music stopped. Some of the kids liked to pick their own poses to freeze.

Avery wanted a doughnut cake. Which was fine with me! It was easy and yummy!

Raegan, Violet, Hailey, Halle, Avery, Aden
The whole group, minus Corbin, who disappeared for the picture. Avery has been lucky to make some really great friends.

We also had a snowball fight with snowballs made from yarn, played parachute (which Avery said was her first favorite thing we did), and played pin the nose on Olaf (Avery's second favorite thing at the party). The party was so much fun. And I think that Avery had a wonderful time!
