Coming home

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! We had a wonderful Christmas this year. I did a whole bunch of sitting on the couch, to try and make sure that the baby didn't make a Christmas appearance. I really didn't want a Christmas Eve or Christmas baby. Thankfully the baby was accommodating and didn't come until the 26th :)
We had a nice Christmas Eve dinner. The kids always get really excited for candles.

Also on Christmas Eve, Clark helped the kids make a fort in Corbin's room. And that's where they slept that night.

And then that night Santa came! Here are the kids waiting at the top of the stairs to go see what Santa brought them!

Avery's big gifts were building blocks and a princess castle. She has loved playing with the princesses.

Corbin asked Santa for 2 years for a power wheels, and Santa really delivered this year. Corbin got this awesome 4 wheeler. He has had so much fun playing with it. Corbin's other favorite toys were a Lego table, and army dress-ups.

I made these pillow beds for the kids. The kids loved them, which made me really happy.

Corbin and Uncle Jeff got matching Star Wars shirts :)

Daddy time

Over this past summer I have had the chance to work selling produce for my cousin's farm. It has been a really great opportunity for our family. I was able to bring in a little extra cash, and I was only scheduled to work on Saturdays. Clark got to have some good one-on-one time with the kids while I was at work. I came home one day to see Clark and Avery hanging out on the slide watching Corbin play football. It was the sweetest sight. These kids just love spending time with their daddy. We all just wish he was a little less busy, so that we could see him more often! Last week Clark worked 80 hours. It was awful for everyone. They had a huge deadline and he pulled an all-nighter Wednesday-Thursday. He got home from work Thursday morning at 4:30 a.m., and continued to work until 6:30 a.m. He then got back up just an hour later and went back to work. Definitely a record for the most hours he has ever worked in a 48 hour period. The poor man. It was terrible. I hope he never has to work that much again.

Avery's birthday!

Avery had a great birthday this year. The weather was beautiful that day, so we invited some friends and went to the park. Corbin was off-track, so it was fun to have him there all day to celebrate, too.
Favorites:
Food: Mac & Cheese, clementines, strawberries, blueberries
TV Show: Go, Diego, Go, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse
Toys: Stuffed animals. She carries them around with her everywhere. She especially loves her Minnie, Daisy, and her doggy stuffed animals. She also loves playing with building blocks
Color: Pink

Avery loves:
*the swingset
*playing with friends
*riding her bike or tricycle
*picking out Diego books from the library

Avery loved playing in the sand, and refused to look at the camera for a picture.

Pretty girl, she loves wearing necklaces

The friends who came to the park with us: Corbin, Stockton, Aiden, and Beckham

Silly Uncle Jeff. Avery just loves him to pieces.

Hello Kitty! She was so funny when she opened this present. She gasped and said, "Hello Kitty! Just what I wanted!!"

So, so tired from playing at the park. She still takes naps most days.

Avery requested a Dora and Diego cake. So, I went the easy route and bought these bath toys and stuck them on top. Avery thought it was great.

Ever since Corbin started school this year, Avery has been asking for a Hello Kitty backpack. And now she has one!

Happy birthday, Avery girl! We love you to pieces!!
