Corbin plays soccer

For the last couple of months, Corbin has been playing Kindersoccer through the Parker Rec center. Next Thursday is his last day of soccer. He's going to be so sad that it's over! Corbin has loved going to soccer each week. Corbin plays in the 4-6 yr old age group. For the first 30 minutes the team practices all together, and the last 30 minutes the coach splits the team into groups to play a game. He usually tries to have the younger kids play each other, and then the older kids play each other. This last Thursday Corbin was totally dominating the younger age group. He scored three goals, and after that the coach started playing defense on him, so that the other kids could get a chance to play.
  The top left shows Corbin's coach, Coach Greg.

sibling photo-shoot

For quite a while now, I have been wanting to get an updated picture of the kids. And, today I finally got some that have both kids looking at the camera, and they look fairly happy. Yay! Mission accomplished.

Easter

Coloring eggs on Friday night. Corbin was counting down the days all week until it was finally Friday, and we could decorate. He was so excited!!
I like this picture of Avery trying to sneak candy out of Corbin's basket

The following pictures are from the Easter egg hunt that we received in the mail from Grandpa and Grandma G.

Easter morning

And all ready for church. Look at those cute kids!

We went to the park after church to snap a few pictures of the kids. Unfortunately my camera battery was dead (smart me). Luckily Clark had his phone with him, so we could still get a few pictures. I made Corbin's bow tie, (Corbin picked the fabric for it). And Avery is wearing her Easter dress.

Avery girl

Avery is now 17 months old. Here is a list of words she says (in approximate order of usage):
* no (shouldn't be a surpise that this one is at the top of the list)
* uh-oh
* hi
* wow
* dane do (thank you)
* dada
* mama (Yes, I am last on the list. She rarely says my name, the little rascal)

She is a little mischief maker
Trying on Daddy's shoes
Look at those pretty eyes!

Sunflower Market Field Trip

A couple of weeks ago, Corbin went on a field trip to Sunflower Market. They gave him a bag, and he got to go shopping in the store. All the kids had so much fun. They got to go in the back and see the big freezer, and at the end they got to check out at the register and get a receipt for their things (which included cereal, fruit, and ice-cream). Corbin loved it. When we got home, he asked if he could go on another field trip to Sunflower Market.

Corbin and his buddies Jack and Max
Avery loves, loves, loves being outside.

He's a pro!

Today, Corbin started to learn how to ride his bike without training wheels. I am amazed at how quickly he picked it up! Although, I probably shouldn't have been surprised, because Corbin is a pretty athletic kid.

And, you'll see at the end of the video, that Avery had to get in on the bike fun, too.

Utah trip

Over a month ago, the kids and I went to Utah, and I am finally getting around to posting the pictures from our trip. I love our annual busy season Utah trip. It really helps the busy season go by more quickly for me and the kiddos. I just wish there was something we could do to help the busy season go faster for poor Clark. This is Clark's first busy season as a manager, and we have definitely noticed a difference. Trying to juggle more clients has made for much longer hours than in the past. Not fun. Not fun at all.
Anyways. On to the trip!

We played at the park
Corbin played a million games of checkers.

And, of course we had to go to Jungle Jims!
We had dinner with Grandpa Burton. And, despite the fact that Corbin looks like we are punishing him, he had a really fun time riding on Grandpa's walker.
We played at a fun trampoline place

Grandma had foot surgery the day we got to town, and Corbin thought it was fun to try walking in her boot.
We went out for lunch, and for ice-cream (see below) with the Loganites.
Troy took us flying. It was pretty dang awesome. Thanks T-Butt!
And here we are at the play area at the Salt Lake Airport. Notice the blanket Avery is holding. That was her favorite blanket. Until it got left behind in the play area, and we didn't realize it until the plane was on the runway. Oops. Luckily it only took her a couple of days to switch to a new favorite. She is like a little Linus. She carries her blanket with her all over the house.
