August events

Our huge cement project was finally completed! The kids were soooo excited for the cement truck to come. You would have thought it was Christmas morning! :)

We went to the zoo with Uncle Jeff.

It's a good thing he is such a patient, happy baby.

1st day of school

This cute fella is now in 2nd grade! I can barely believe it. He said his teacher is really nice, and that he had a lot of fun today. Plus, second graders are allowed to do the monkey bars at recess!

Three little monkeys swinging in the trees. Tyson thought it was fabulous. He was laughing the whole time!

Country fest

After a very long Saturday spent cutting and moving sod, we went to the sojo country fest. We almost didn't go because we were so tired. But, I'm glad we went. The kids had so much fun! And the atmosphere was great. I also got to tell the kids about the time I got left behind at South Jordan park after Jeff's football practice :)

Baby soup

Tyson had his first taste of baby food on June 14. Avery calls it "baby soup". Tyson tried squash. And while he made a few funny faces, he didn't spit too much of it out. Corbin was my awesome photographer.

Avery pronounces thumb as "bum". This makes for some funny conversations. One happened today after I painted our fingernails. We were holding our hands next to each other comparing our nails, and Avery put her thumb on top of mine and said, "let's see whose bum is bigger." Haha.

Off track

Corbin just finished his last time being off track for first grade! We had lots of fun while he was out of school. Avery keeps asking if Corbin can go off track again soon. We went to a Lego car building activity at the library, fed the ducks at Daybreak lake, both kids took swimming lessons (Avery's first time! She was so brave. The last day she finally got brave enough to jump off the side of the pool, and the other parents and I all started clapping for her!), the kids spend tons of time playing with friends, and we went to Jungle Jims with Clark.

4 months

Tyson is 4 months old! He is a great little baby. He has only slept through the night once, so here's hoping that he starts consistently doing it soon. He is our chubby little guy, the kid loves his bottle. Tyson is such a happy baby. He rarely cries, when he's upset he usually just starts yelling. He found his hands this month, and he loves to put them in his mouth. Tyson still scratches his face up, so we have to put socks on his hands at bedtime/naptime. Tyson loves to stand up. He's not a big fan of sitting on someone's lap. He wants to be on his feet.
